So glad we gave them a try as it was hands down the best transportation experience we’ve had! The owner Antonio is so quick to respond to all emails and he sends additional confirmation emails the day prior to arrival and departure. This last trip at the beginning of November we decided to try Cabo Lindo because of their #1 ranking on TA and a recommendation from another couple in Cabo on our previous trip. Most have been okay to good but definitely hit or miss with communication, being on time, and the experience with the drivers. We have been fortunate enough to get to Cabo about 20 times in the last 14 years and in that time we’ve tried about four different transportation companies. I will definitely be booking with them the next time we go to Cabo! And we’ll feel confident paying the cash price □□□□□ if you’re planning a trip to Cabo, definitely choose Cabo Lindo for your transport needs. Our return to the airport 5 days later was also prompt and friendly. We traveled in a clean suburban and our driver gave us a nice cold drink upon entering the car, wore a mask and was super friendly (unlike some drivers I’ve encountered in the US). They were friendly, reliable and waiting for us with our name on a sign as soon as we exited the airport. I replied letting him know we wanted to switch to PayPal payment, and he was super responsive and said it wouldn’t be an issue at all. I had received an immediate email from Antonio Calderón, the owner confirming our reservation. I had reserved round trip airport transportation for the cash price, but my husband was slightly concerned if anyone would actually show up. I was searching airport transportation online days before departing and I came across Cabo Lindo and it had great reviews. The above script could be rewritten like this: The sleep () is another PHP inbuilt function that is utilized to postpone the execution of the ongoing content for a predefined number of seconds. Using either of them is far more accurate than the previous time() loop, and they both have their advantages - sleep() is better if you do not need the accuracy, and usleep() is better if you do. The difference between sleep() and usleep() is that sleep() takes a number of seconds as its parameter, whereas usleep() takes a number of microseconds - millionths of a second - as its parameter. A much better solution is to use the one of the two script sleep functions, sleep() and usleep(), which take the amount of time to pause execution as their only parameter. This might get your server to timeout, so check your configs and see if you can get some processing done outside of PHP, i.e. Secondly, PHP has to sit there looping thousands of times while it waits, essentially doing nothing. Why do you want to delay the loop Baba at 16:25 2 I should probably point out that a loop that runs 10 times with a 3 second delay will take 30 seconds to execute. Firstly, time() has a very low precision, only returning the number of whole seconds that have passed, which makes the whole thing quite vague. While it does work, there are two problems with it. Some people (thankfully very few) choose the first option and write code like this: When you want to pause execution in your script, there are two ways you can implement the code. done: pop rsi pop rdi ret return integer value parameter: rdi = string pointer return: rax = length strlen_simple: xor rax, rax. baddigit: mov rax, -1 return error code on failed conversion. baddigit sub rsi, 48 get ascii code for digit imul rax, 10 radix 10 add rax, rsi add current digit to total inc rdi jmp. convert: movzx rsi, byte test rsi, rsi check for null jz. done: xor rdi, rdi mov rax, 60 sys_exit syscall parameter: rdi = string pointer return: rax = integer conversion atoi_simple: push rdi push rsi xor rax, rax. done mov rdi, 0 any pid mov rsi, 0 mov rdx, 0 mov r10, 4 that has terminated mov rax, 247 sys_waitid syscall jmp. wait: dec r12 wait for each child process jz. done sub rsp, 16 stack space for timespec mov, rax seconds mov qword, 0 nanoseconds lea rdi, xor rsi, rsi mov rax, 35 sys_nanosleep syscall add rsp, 16 pop rdi retrieve item text call strlen_simple mov rsi, rdi mov byte, ' ' mov rdi, 1 mov rdx, rax inc rdx mov rax, 1 sys_write syscall jmp. In general, sleep sort works by starting a separate task for each item to be sorted, where each task sleeps for an interval corresponding to the item's sort key, then emits the item. The “battery saver active” notification means that there is some issue with the charging system. Here’s a great video on how to diagnose a bad battery sensor.Ĭonclusion: Equinox Battery Saver Diagnosis It is connected to the negative battery terminal. This sensor determines whether or not current is flowing in or out of your Equinox’s battery. It could still be the battery current sensor that is at fault. It would still be wise to have the battery tested before it is replaced. If the alternator appears to be fine from your testing (and the battery cables are clean) that leaves the battery and battery current sensor. Here’s a great video from ChrisFix on how to test the alternator yourself. Or it can be going bad, which means that it is charging some, but not enough to meet the needs of the vehicle. The alternator could be all the way bad (not charging the battery at all). You need a voltage meter, that’s about it. It’s very easy to see if the alternator is bad. With the engine running, the alternator should be putting out at least 13.5 volts. If the battery saver light came on when you were already driving, that is a strong indicator that the alternator is bad. There are also specialized battery cleaning tools that you can pick up at Autozone or Wal-Mart for around $5. If they look corroded, clean them off with a wire brush. The battery saver is usually activated when an alternator goes bad, but there can be other causes as well.īefore jumping straight to the alternator or battery, it’s a good idea to take a look at the battery posts. If this feature is on, assume that your vehicle will stop running and get it fixed immediately.īattery Saver Active Causes: Chevy Equinox The battery saver increases the driving range of your Equinox when the system is not properly charging. If electrical voltage gets much lower than the 11.7 that it’s at when the battery saver is active, the engine will no longer be able to run properly (and eventually at all). When the battery saver is active, it causes many of the vehicles non essential functions to stop or run slower (including the air conditioner), in order to increase battery life. The battery should also be over 12 volts even with the vehicle sitting. Typical electrical systems run at 13+ volts with the engine running. If you are getting a “ battery saver active” message, it means that your Equinox’s electrical system voltage has dropped to a critical level (less than 11.7 volts). Many modern GM made vehicles have a battery saver feature, this includes the Chevy Equinox. The signs and symptoms of retinitis pigmentosa usually arise in childhood, with sensitivity to bright light or poor low light vision. This inherited disease causes mutations in any of 50 genes responsible for creating proteins that enable the photoreceptor cells of the retina to work. Retinitis pigmentosa (RP): Considered a rare disease, RP is thought to affect around one in 4,000 people in the U.S.Macular edema: A build-up of fluids in the retinal tissue that causes the macula to swell. The surgeon directs a laser beam into the eye through the pupil. Left untreated, diabetic retinopathy can lead to blindness. Retinal tears When a retinal tear or hole hasn't yet progressed to detachment, your eye surgeon may suggest one of the following procedures to prevent retinal detachment and preserve vision. Diabetic retinopathy: A deterioration of the retinal tissue due to excessive glucose (sugar) levels in the blood. The vitreous naturally shrinks a bit with age, but sometimes the shrinking vitreous sticks to the retina and pulls it away from the back of the eye This can occur due to trauma (for example, a blow to the head) or due to a malfunction of the normal shrinking process of the fluid (the vitreous) that occupies the inside of the eye. Detached or torn retina: A condition that results from the retinal tissue pulling away from the back of the eyeball.Central serous retinopathy is a relatively common condition in which the central retina develops a cyst and central vision becomes distorted.Retinoblastoma may be curable, depending on whether or not the cancer has spread beyond the eyeball. Retinoblastoma occurs in children and results from an inherited gene mutation that causes retinal cells to multiply too quickly. Cancers: Cancerous (malignant) tumors of the retina are rare but include diseases like retinoblastoma.Wet AMD is rarer and occurs when new blood vessels grow abnormally in the retina, leak fluids, and cause scarring of the macula. Dry AMD is the more common type and occurs when the tissue layer of the macula becomes thinner with age. Age-related macular degeneration (AMD): One of the most common types of retinal disease, AMD causes progressive central vision loss. A less well-known and uncommon paresthesia is formication, the sensation of insects crawling on the skin. The most familiar kind of paresthesia is the sensation known as " pins and needles" after having a limb "fall asleep". Paresthesias are usually painless and can occur anywhere on the body, but most commonly occur in the arms and legs. Paresthesia may be transient or chronic, and may have many possible underlying causes. On rare occasions, the pain may continue, or it may return some time after the operation, even if it had seemed successful at first.Paresthesia is an abnormal sensation of the skin (tingling, pricking, chilling, burning, numbness) with no apparent physical cause. But as with all operations, there is a small risk of complications, which may include infection, nerve damage or scarring. You shouldn’t drive until you are able to comfortably make a fist with your hand.įor most people surgery is very successful. If you feel there has been no improvement in your symptoms in the first six weeks after your operation, you should speak to your surgeon.ĭuring the first few weeks after surgery you should avoid heavy tasks, but you should start to use your hand for lighter activities, as long as it’s not too uncomfortable. Sometimes, the operation may not bring a complete recovery, especially if you have muscle wasting or loss of sensation in your hand but it should greatly reduce your pain. You should recover from the surgery in less than a month, although it may take longer to get all the feeling back in your hand, especially if you’ve had the condition for a long time. Your stitches will usually be taken out between 10 and 14 days after the operation, though some surgeons use dissolving stitches instead which don’t need to be removed. You may be able to start gentle exercises on the same day as your operation. It’s important that you keep moving your fingers and arm to reduce stiffness and swelling, and to prevent the nerve and tendons getting caught up in the scar tissue that can form after the operation. Your surgeon will be able to tell you which is most suitable for you.įollowing the operation, you might need to wear a bandage on your hand and wrist for a few days. The operation is normally carried out under a local anaesthetic and may be done by conventional open surgery or by keyhole surgery. Surgery usually takes place as a day case. The surgery, known as carpal tunnel release or decompression surgery relieves pain by reducing the pressure on median nerve. You may need surgery if there’s severe compression of median nerve or if the numbness and pain don’t improve with other treatments. Ultrasounds can also show some of the causes of carpal tunnel syndrome, including swelling in the tendons or joint. Ultrasound scans are sometimes used in diagnosis, because the nerve can become swollen before it goes through the carpal tunnel and this can be seen on a scan. When the nerve is damaged, the speed at which messages travel between the finger and the wrist is slower. This test doesn’t measure how bad your symptoms are, but it can show how badly damaged the nerve is. Electrodes will be attached to your skin on the fingers and wrist to measure the speed of your nerve’s response to the current. These tests can be done in several ways, but one common way is to see how your nerve reacts when a small electric current is put through one of your fingers. Sometimes carpal tunnel syndrome can be mistaken for something else, such as pressure on nerves in the neck due to disc problems or arthritis, which can cause similar symptoms.Ī nerve conduction test may help and can be used to measure how bad the compression of the nerve is. You may drop things and find that activities needing fine finger movements, such as writing or fastening buttons, become more difficult. Your hand might feel weak, or the fingers numb, or both. However, if the nerve is badly squeezed, you might have symptoms throughout the day. You may not notice the problem at all during the day, though certain activities such as writing, typing, DIY or housework, can bring on your symptoms. Hanging your hand out of bed or shaking it around will often help reduce the pain and tingling. The symptoms tend to be worse at night and can disturb your sleep, but you may also notice it when you wake up in the morning. You may also have an ache running up your arm to the shoulder or neck. You’ll usually feel it worst in the thumb, index and middle fingers, but sometimes it might feel like your whole hand is affected. It tends to come on gradually over a period of weeks. The symptoms can sometimes be felt in the forearm or further up your arm. Carpal tunnel syndrome causes a tingling feeling or pins and needles, numbness, and sometimes pain in the hand. |
